How do I add audio to my site? It’s a common question for churches and pastors but the answer isn’t always so easy. Now some of the hurdles may have been lowered just a bit.
Sermon Cloud is a free site for sharing sermon audio. Not only can you find lots of sermon audio on the site but what I like most is that you can upload your own sermon audio and share it with the world at no cost. Not only is it free, but it looks like some of the work in converting MP3 audio files to a compressed format is also done by Sermon Cloud.
I recently discovered Sermon Cloud but it looks like it’s been around for over a year now. My interest in Sermon Cloud peaked when I learned it was an easy and no cost way for churches, pastors and missionaries to get their preaching on the internet.
I’m still checking things out but this may be where I point many of you who need to post and share audio of your sermons and conferences. You still need to get your own audio into a digital format and I may write about that in the future, but Sermon Cloud seems like it’s making sharing sermon audio much easier.
There is a limit to the length of time audio is stored for free–note this from the Sermon Cloud website:
1-Year Free: All users can store 1 year (52) of free sermons. After one year, a sermon will be removed in order to upload new sermons. For these users, the service will remain free. Churches can opt to store many years or unlimited sermons for a small hosting fee. These plans will be announced shortly.
